Before you call…
Answers to most commonly asked questions
HOW MANY GAMES WILL MY TEAM PLAY?
Each of the teams accepted in the tournament is guaranteed a minimum of
3
games. Each team is placed in a group of 4 teams within their
respective
divisions playing a round robin of 6 games with the winner advancing.
The
best of the 2nd place teams in each division are eligible for the
single
wildcard position. The maximum number of games will differ by category
but
will not exceed six.
DOES THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE ARRANGE ACCOMODATIONS?
We do NOT arrange billeting for players. The committee negotiates
favorable
special hotel rates with a number of local hotels, but you are free to
make
your own arrangements. The list of hotels and rates will be sent in the
second
mailing to the team’s managers that have been accepted in our
tournament.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CHEQUE?
The application fee is cashed as soon as possible. However, if your
team
goes on our waiting list in December, we will return the fee with one
of
our own cheques.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A SPECTATOR TO WATCH A GAME?
Upon acceptance into our tournament, each team will be assessed a
charge
of $190.00. This allows all family members and friends FREE access to
all
3 arenas on our Civic Centre at all times during the tournament.
OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS TO NOTE:
- Print your POSTAL CODE clearly to receive future mailing.
(Schedules,
etc)
- When phoning (514-683-3825) please leave team name and
category
as well as a phone number where you can be reached in the evening.
- We do not require your list of players until you are
accepted
and receive the schedule.
