APB Girls Hockey Tournament
Tournament Rules & Regulations
1. The tournament is run under Q.I.H.F. rules.
2. For Peewee and Bantam, the tournament runs in a double elimination format. For Atom, a Round-Robin format is used.
3. Only players officially registered to a team according to the Q.I.H.F rules are eligible to play.
4. Any team using an ineligible player will be disqualified from the tournament.
5. Team officials must report to the Tournament Registrar at the area a minimum of 1 hour prior to their first game with the following documents:
a. T112
b. Tournament Permit
c. Score sheets from the last 5 games played.
d. League Schedule.
6. Should opposing teams have sweaters similar in
color that, in the opinion of the tournament organizers, may cause
confusion the home team will be supplied with a different set of
sweaters.
7. For all games, teams must be ready to go on the
ice 15 minutes before the published game time.
8. There will be a 2-minute warm-up before the start
of each game.
9. All games will consist of 2, 10 minute stop time periods plus a 12 minute stop time period.
10. In Peewee and Bantam, for games other than finals and semi-finals, in the event of a tie after 3 periods of play, HQ 9.7.1 will be followed;
a. A 5-minute
stop-time overtime period will be played until the first legally
scored goal occurs.
b. The periods
are played with 4 skaters and 1
goalie, except when penalties are assessed in according with the
playing rules.
c. If the tie
persists after the overtime periods,
there will be a shootout as per HQ 9.7.2.
11. For Final and Semi-Final games, in the event of a tie after 3
periods of play,HQ 9.7.3 will be followed;
a. A ten-minute
stop-time overtime period will be played until the first legally
scored goal occurs.
b. The periods are played with 4 skaters and 1
goalie, except when penalties are assessed in according with the
playing rules.
c. If the tie persists after the overtime periods,
there will be a shootout as per HQ 9.7.2.
12. In Atom & Peewee, should a team gain an
advantage of seven goals
after the second period, the game will continue using running time.
13. In Bantam, should a team gain an
advantage of seven goals
after the second period, the game will be stopped.
14. The tournament organizers reserve the right to
stop or cancel any games that it deems fit.
15. The tournament organizers reserve the right to
expel any team from the tournament that it deems fit.
16. Any cost related to property damage caused by any
team will be the entire responsibility of the team in question and as
such the team will be required to pay such costs.
17. Each accepted team must play its scheduled games, or
they will have to pay a $200.00 penalty.
18. HQ 7.7.7 - The use of horns driven by compressed air or batteries are forbidden.
